FORNEY, Texas — Forney franchisees Adam Fraser and Michael Driscoll announced they will open Forney’s first Jersey Mike’s Subs on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.
The pair will host a free sub fundraiser through Sunday, Nov. 12, to benefit the Genesis Women’s Shelter.
“We are thrilled to be opening up our first Jersey Mike’s in our home town of Forney,” stated Fraser in a news release.
The new restaurant, located at 375 North Farm-to-Market (FM) 548, next to Huddle House, will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
The Forney location joins over 1,500 Jersey Mike’s Subs locations nationwide at a time when the restaurant has been named the country’s fastest-growing Limited Service Chain and fastest-growing sandwich chain in the 2017 Nation’s Restaurant News Top 100.
The restaurant circulated 7,500 coupons throughout the community for free regular subs with minimum $2 contributions to the Genesis Women’s Shelter. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible, according to the release.
“At Jersey Mike’s we are committed to making a difference in the communities we do business in,” added Driscoll. ”Supporting the Genesis Women's Shelter during our grand opening is a wonderful way to give back to the community. We know this opening will be a great addition to the Forney community.”
Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised $25 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 1.5 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. This year, the company’s 7th Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in March, raised more than $5.5 million for nearly 150 charities throughout the country.
