She taught English Language Arts for seven years in Louisiana and has served for the last six years in a variety of administrative roles, including Assistant Principal of Learning, District Curriculum Coordinator, and Supervisor of Secondary Education. “Mrs. Peck did an outstanding job stepping into the role as the interim principal at North Forney High School,” said Forney ISD Superintendent of Schools Suzanne McWilliams. “It can be a difficult challenge to take over as principal in the middle of the school year, but Mrs. Peck has done a tremendous job in taking on the leadership responsibilities and keeping the school running smoothly. I am confident that she will not only be instrumental in the success of the students and staff at North Forney High School, but that she will help North Forney reach new heights in the future!”

The Board of Trustees also approved Dr. Barbi Donehoo to be the new principal at Rhea Elementary School. Dr. Donehoo replaces Mr. Scott Fisher, who recently accepted a human resources position with Longview ISD in Longview, Texas. Mr. Fisher will move to his new position at the beginning of May this year.

Dr. Donehoo has 21 years of experience in public education. She began her career as a third grade teacher at Black Elementary School in the Mesquite Independent School District in Mesquite, Texas. She taught fourth grade at Thompson Elementary School, also in the Mesquite ISD from 1998 to 2001 before becoming the Testing Coordinator at Hodges Elementary School in Mesquite. Dr. Donehoo’s first campus administrator position was as an Assistant Principal at Rutherford Elementary School in Mesquite in 2004 before coming to Rhea Elementary School as the Assistant Principal in 2008.
