North Forney Lady Falcons Basketball Team makes playoffs

FORNEY, Texas —  UPDATE 9:30 PM. The North Forney Lady Falcons fell short to Frisco Liberty tonight, with a final score of 39-24.

Kemp Yellowjackets were also defeated tonight, losing to Little River Academy 46-43. Mabank was defeated by Pleasant Grove 55-51.

The Crandall Pirates are the only Kaufman County team advancing in playoff action after they defeated Kilgore tonight, 59-50.

[Original]The North Forney Lady Falcons basketball team is headed into the regional semi-finals tonight along with three other teams from across the county who continue to maintain their place in area playoff action.

The Lady Falcons will tip off tonight against state ranked Frisco Liberty at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland at 6 PM. The ladies advance into the fourth round of girl’s playoffs after defeating Texarkana’s Texas High 54-47 on Tuesday to capture the Regional Quarterfinal final. Lady Falcons will battle it out among the final 16 teams in the state as they push towards an invitation to the final state tournament.

In the second round of playoff action for boys’ basketball, Kemp Yellowjackets will face Little River Academy tonight in Hillsboro with a tip time of 7 PM. Kemp’s game will be broadcast on the district’s online radio station app, Jacket Radio.

Mabank High School will face Pleasant Grove at 6:30 PM tonight at Longview High School’s Lobo Coliseum.

Crandall High School boys face Killgore High School in playoff action tonight at 7 PM at Athens High School.
