FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Fire Department is keeping things flamin' hot in the kitchen as its cooking series, "Open Flame," airs Episode 6.

The series is more than just sharing some of the department's favorite recipes, it also offers an introduction to many of the fire department personnel who work day-in and day-out protecting the Forney-area fire district.

In June 2018, Open Flame host Forney Fire Department firefighter Mason Atkins kicked off the series with Episode 1 — a jalapeno feta-cheese cheeseburger.

Forney Fire Department Fire Marshal John Holcomb was featured in Episode 2 with his pork steak and vegetables.

Episode 3 featured Lt. David Lawson and his flank steak, chimichurri sauce, and sauteed vegetables.

Episode 4 featured Firefighter Christian Keith and his buttery buttermilk biscuits.

Firefighter Chase "Sneaky Chase" Richardson spotlighted his bacon-wrapped meatloaf in Episode 5.

Episode 6 featured Firefighter Josh Mosley's 20-minute Cajun shrimp and sausage skillet.
