FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department is offering to accept the delivery of holiday packages from now until December 22, 2019 — in an effort to curb porch pirates from stealing packages left by carriers on recipient's front porches.

"Holiday Spirit is in the air, don’t let the Grinch ruin your holidays," stated the department on Facebook. "The Forney Police Department is happy to offer a safe site for package delivery!"

Those wishing to deliver their packages to the Forney Police Department, now until Dec. 22, should enter the following shipping information: Resident's Name, Forney Police Department, 110 Justice Center Drive, Forney, Texas, 75126.

The department says it is offering this service free of charge to Forney residents only.
