KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — Kaufman County is among north and central-Texas counties under a threat of strong to severe storms late Wednesday afternoon and evening.

"The primary hazards will be very large hail, baseball size or larger, damaging straight line winds, and a few tornadoes," stated the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas.

Storms are expected to develop late Wednesday afternoon, around 5 to 7 p.m., and continue into the evening to late hours.

Three tornadoes were confirmed last Saturday in the North Texas weather region in Milam, Robertson, and Leon Counties — the largest of which lasted nearly an hour with ratings between EF-0 to EF-3, and stretched approximately 33 miles across all three counties.
