TERRELL, Texas — The Terrell Police Department is asking for the public's assistance locating a missing 55-year-old woman.

55-year-old Gardenia Lynne Carroll of Tyler, Texas, was last seen in Terrell on May 17, 2019, at approximately 10 a.m. in the area of Walmart and McDonalds, located int he 1900 block of West Moore Avenue.

"Carroll left her vehicle unattended with personal belongings inside," read a statement from the Terrell Police Department. "Review of video from the businesses show Carroll to appear confused and likely unable to remember where she left her vehicle. Witnesses who spoke to her said she was speaking about religion but never indicated she needed assistance or acted as though she was lost. It is unknown how she left the parking area as she was not seen walking out of the area by any of the camera views."

Carroll is described as an African-American female with short salt-and-pepper hair and could possibly be wearing a knitted-type hat. She was also wearing a purple long-sleeve shirt with pockets on the front and black pants.
