CRANDALL, Texas — A Crandall-area man shot his hand on Monday afternoon while cleaning his firearm, according to police.

CRANDALL, Texas — A Crandall-area man shot his hand on Monday afternoon while cleaning his firearm, according to police.

The incident occurred in the county but, police say, the man drove himself to the Crandall Fire Department, located at 106 East Trunk Street in Crandall, for medical attention.

There, the man was further transported to a Dallas-area hospital for treatment.

His injuries were not described as life-threatening.
