SEAGOVILLE, Texas — East Malloy Bridge Road has been closed Thursday night due to flooding at the East Fork of the Trinity River, the City of Seagoville announced.

Water is currently running over the bridges inside the levee, according to the city.

Officials are advising motorists to turn around, don't drown.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, October 201 is the wettest October on record for DFW with 14.51 inches — beating out the previous record of 14.18 inches in 1981. This record comes after September 2018's record setting month of 12.69 inches of rain.

The last time the Dallas-Fort Worth region had back-to-back record setting months was in February and March of 1945.
