Authorities investigating the murders of Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland, his wife Cynthia, and Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse, executed search warrants at the residences of former Kaufman County Justice of the Peace Eric Williams and his relatives.

The searches began at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Williams' home in the 1600 block of Overlook Drive in Kaufman, Texas, and the home of his relatives that is close in proximity. FBI investigators were seen removing boxes from Williams' home and vehicle.

Williams was convicted of burglary and theft by a public servant last year after stealing computer equipment from the county's IT Department while serving as the county's Justice of the Peace. That case was prosecuted by ADA Mark Hasse and DA Mike McLelland in Kaufman County's 422nd District Court. Williams was sentenced to two years probation and is appealing his conviction.

Williams has already been questioned by authorities regarding the murders of the Kaufman County prosecutors and says that he is cooperating with law enforcement. Williams was also tested for gunshot residue after the McLelland murders, the results of which have not been released by law enforcement.

Investigators have not officially named Williams as a suspect in the case and the search warrant affidavits have been sealed.
