FORNEY— The Forney City Council will swear in newly elected and re-elected members on Tuesday, May 14th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Council Member James Traylor won his re-election bid with 77.56% of the vote, and Jay Weatherford won Place 3 with 58.46%. Councilmember Schlensker ran unopposed during the May 4th election.
The Council will also express their appreciation for outgoing Council Member Sandi Primous, who came up short in her bid for re-election to Jay Weatherford on May 4th.
