FORNEY, Texas — Two wrecks are causing delays on westbound U.S. Highway 80 Sunday morning.
An original rollover crash was reported around 9:40 a.m. on westbound U.S. Highway 80 in between Farm-to-Market (FM) 460 and Lovers Lane. This wreck caused traffic back-ups to Pinson Road and FM 548.
A westbound vehicle overturned and came to a rest on its roof in the middle of the highway. Traffic was diverted around the crash on the shoulder of the highway. No injuries were reported.
At approximately 10:20 a.m., a wrecker removed the vehicle from the highway and all emergency personnel cleared the scene.
Minutes later, a pickup truck rear-ended a passenger vehicle in slowed traffic on the highway approximately 50 feet from the original rollover crash. This wreck is blocking the left lane of the highway. No injuries were initially reported.
The Forney Police Department, Forney Fire Department, and CareFlite responded.
