FORNEY, Texas — North Forney High School graduate, Armani Watts, snagged two interceptions for the Kansas City Chiefs during their Aug. 30th preseason win over the Green Bay Packers.

“I was in the right place at the right time on a couple of those throws, and that’s what we preach on tips and overthrows,” Watts told Chiefs reporter Matt McMullen. “You just need to make the play when it comes to you.”

22-year-old Watts was selected by the Chiefs in the fourth round or the 2018 Draft after an impressive career at Texas A&M.

“I’m just showing what I’m capable of doing,” Watts stated. “I’m big on getting the ball back to the offense, and to be able to do it at the next level is a big for me…it was just so much fun to finally get a pick in the NFL. It was a dream come true.”
