Construction Status

As of August 2025, utilities have been successfully relocated with some minor work still pending at the FM 148 Bypass and US 175 intersection. The construction was awarded to Granite Construction with a bid of $60,049,998.99, which is just slightly above the engineer’s estimate. Residents should anticipate approximately 35 months of barricades and 735 working days from the start date.
