U.S. Marshals arrest Terrell man for agg assault that caused Kaufman ISD lockdowns
Ladarius Ward, 21, of Terrell, was arrested in conjunction with an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon case that resulted in three Kaufman ISD campuses to go into lockdown mode. Ward pointed a gun at, and threatened to kill, another man who tried to retrieve his stolen vehicle from him on November 28, 2012, at the Willow Bend Apartments in Kaufman.

Three Kaufman ISD campuses were placed on lockdown yesterday morning, November 28, 2012, at approximately 8:00 a.m. when a gunman was believed to be held up in an apartment complex adjacent to the campuses. The Kaufman Police Department and Kaufman Tactical team locked down the apartment complex for nearly five hours.

The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men after they led police officers and deputies on a high speed chase through Kaufman on November 20, 2012, at approximately 2:20 p.m. with speeds in excess of 95 miles per hour.
