Governors Small Business Summit Kaufman - A Sold Out Event

KAUFMAN - Small business, networking, and planning for the future - some of the many conversations taking place in Kaufman at the Governor’s Small Business Summit.

“Kaufman is very excited to welcome the Governors Small Business Summit to support our growing business community in the area.” Stewart McGregor, Executive Director, Kaufman Economic Development Corporation.

This is the last of more than a dozen small business summits around the state in 2024. The event is meant to connect business owners and entrepreneurs with the resources necessary to start, grow, and strengthen their businesses and take them to “new heights.”

The event had several panels with topics ranging from “Triumphs and Trials of Entrepreneurship” to targeted marketing techniques, including social media.

“This event gives entrepreneurs the ability to learn about new resources and connect with each other,” said Cassidy Earnheart with the Kaufman Chamber of Commerce.

Organizations from around the region were in attendance to help attendees build connections and learn about available resources. Tracy Irby with Texas Woman’s University had information about women-owned businesses, and Chris Hicks with Trinity Valley Community College told inForney.com that this event is about “planning for the future in the communities we serve.”

The keynote speakers, Bob & Kelli Phillips, Former Media Hosts, Texas Country Reporter, speaking on the "Jobs that Speak to Your Heart.”

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, small businesses “power our economy” - Small Business Month runs throughout December.

“America's small businesses power our economy. This holiday season, shop at local businesses to support the job creators in your community.”
