FORNEY, Texas — Alcohol may have been a factor in a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Highway 80 early Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 in between County Road 212 and Gateway Boulevard. A pickup truck overturned and came to a rest upright in between the highway and the south frontage road.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. A wrecker towed the vehicle from the scene of the crash.
It's unknown if the driver, who refused any medical examination, sustained any injuries in the crash. No other injuries or involved vehicles were reported.
The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Forney Police Department, Forney Fire Department, and an East Texas Medical Center ambulance all responded to the crash.
