DALLAS, Texas — An AMBER Alert was issued by the Dallas Police Department after a toddler was abducted during an overnight auto theft.

DALLAS, Texas — An AMBER Alert was issued by the Dallas Police Department after a toddler was abducted during an overnight auto theft.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., on September 23, 2020, the toddler, identified only as Chasity, was in a white 2009 Lincoln four-door MKZ when it was stolen from a business parking lot in the 2400 block of West Ledbetter Drive in Dallas.

Police say the child's mother had ran inside the store and left the car running.

"As of now, the vehicle nor child has been located," read a statement from the Dallas Police Department. "A regional and statewide AMBER Alert is being requested through the Texas Department of Public Safety."

The Lincoln is bearing Texas license plate No. JJT5997.

Chasity is described as a 3-year-old Black female with black hair, brown eyes, weighs 85 pounds, and is 3’0″. She was last seen wearing an unknown color short-sleeve shirt, gray tights, and no shoes.
