TERRELL, Texas – An Amtrak passenger train made an unexpected stop in Terrell on Friday night, June 6, 2014 – continuing only after a Chicago man was arrested and removed from the train.
Amtrak requested the assistance from the Terrell Police Department with a drunk and disorderly passenger. The train stopped near Bowser Circle where police officers removed and arrested 53-year-old Danny Benitez.
Benitez was charged with public intoxication and held overnight at the Terrell Police Department jail. Benitez was released on Saturday morning and fined $226.
