FORNEY, Texas – A Balch Springs man was arrested for assaulting a Mesquite woman at a Forney hotel early Sunday morning, July 27, 2014.
At approximately 1 a.m., the Forney Police Department (FPD) responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated male involved in a disturbance with a female at Best Western in the 700 block of Pinson Avenue.
According to a Forney Police Department incident report obtained by inForney.com, the male, 32-year-old Dallas Linden Dekle, allegedly assaulted the female at the hotel. Then Dekle assaulted FPD Officer Matthew Hutchins at the hotel and again in the parking lot, according to the report.
Once at the Forney Justice Center jail, Dekle assaulted Officers Mark Atkinson and Lucas Hart.
No weapons were used during the assault. The female victim and Officer Hutchins received “apparent minor injuries” caused by Dekle. No injuries were listed for the other two officers.
Dekle is now facing a charge of assault of a family of household member/impeding breathing or circulation with a bond of $50,000, three charges of assaulting a public servant with bonds at $20,000 each, and a charge of resisting arrest, search , or transport with bond at $3,000.
