FORNEY, Texas – A Balch Springs man was indicted today by a Kaufman County grand jury for assaulting a Mesquite woman and three Forney Police Department officers.
FORNEY, Texas – A Balch Springs man was indicted today by a Kaufman County grand jury for assaulting a Mesquite woman and three Forney Police Department officers.
32-year-old Dallas Linden Dekle was arrested on July 27, 2014, at Forney's Best Western hotel after assaulting a Mesquite woman there. Dekle then assaulted Forney police officers Matthew Hutchins, Mark Atkinson, and Lucas Hart.
Deckle was indicted by the grand jury with one count of assault of a family or household member/impeding breathing or circulation and three counts of assaulting a public servant.
No weapons were used during the assault. The female victim and Officer Hutchins received “apparent minor injuries” caused by Dekle. No injuries were listed for the other two officers.
Deckle remains in jail on the original bonds from the July arrest which include $50,000 for the assault of the woman, $20,000 for each assault on the officers, and $3,000 for resisting arrest.
