The Terrell Police Department invites residents to participate in a heartfelt initiative this holiday season: the Officer Jacob Candanoza Memorial Toy Drive, aptly named "Fill the Truck." This special event honors the legacy of Officer Candanoza while benefiting the Children's Advocacy Center for Kaufman County.

Event Details

On Friday, December 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, community members are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to Wal-Mart, located at 1900 W Moore Ave in Terrell. The collected toys will provide joy, comfort, and hope to local children during the holiday season.

Remembering Officer Candanoza

Officer Jacob Candanoza was not only a dedicated law enforcement officer but also a Marine veteran who served with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office before joining the Terrell Police Department in July. He is remembered not just for his commitment to public service, but also as a loving husband to his wife, Devin, and a devoted father to their 5-year-old daughter, Amethyst.
