Crandall police arrest two for aggravated robbery

CRANDALL, Texas โ€” The Crandall Police Department has arrested two 18-year-old men for an alleged aggravated robbery of a female victim in the Heartland community.

CRANDALL, Texas โ€” The Crandall Police Department has arrested two 18-year-old men for an alleged aggravated robbery of a female victim in the Heartland community.

On August 18, 2019, the Crandall Police Department responded to the 2000 block of Kickapoo Trail, just south of Farm-to-Market (FM) 741, in reference to an aggravated robbery.

"Officers met with the victim who stated she was confronted by two men, who during the confrontation displayed a weapon with a blanket or towel draped over part of it," Crandall Police Department Chief Dean Winters told inForney.com. "The victim stated that one of the subjects removed approximately $400 from her purse and then both subjects fled on foot."

"During the investigation, the victim gave detailed descriptions of the subjects and then with the assistance of the Mesquite Police Department, the victim was able to pick the suspects out of a photo lineup," he said.

Arrest warrants were obtained and, on August 22, 2019, 18-year-old Khela Wilson and 18-year-old Devonta Fisher were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. Both are being held at the Kaufman County Jail on $100,000 bonds.

"This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be presented to the Kaufman County District Attorneyโ€™s Office," stated Winters.
