CRANDALL, Texas — The Crandall Police Department is investigating an early Sunday morning tractor theft and attempted ATM theft.
Crandall Police Department Interim Chief Billy Kilgore says a backhoe tractor was stolen from Farm-to-Market (FM) 741 and U.S. Highway 175 early Sunday morning.
The individual who stole the tractor then drove it down the service road and across several business parking lots before ramming into an ATM at American National Bank located in the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 175 in Crandall, around 2:30 a.m.
The individual was unsuccessful in stealing the ATM but did significant damage to the drive-thru at the bank, according to Kilgore.
Kilgore says police are reviewing nearby video surveillance.
