TERRELL, Texas — A Dallas County Sheriff’s Office police pursuit ended in Terrell on Thursday afternoon.
The pursuit began in Dallas County when a police officer attempted to pull over an Alamo Cab Company taxi for traffic violations, an official told NBC DFW.
The chase entered Kaufman County on Interstate 20 where a Terrell Police Department officer spiked the vehicle’s tires near mile marker 503. The vehicle came to a stop on the right shoulder of the interstate just east of the County Road 138 overpass.
The driver of the cab was taken into custody without further incident.
A Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter assisted in the pursuit.
