SEAGOVILLE, Texas β A Dallas, Texas, man was indicted on two counts of intoxicated manslaughter stemming from a deadly crash on U.S. Highway 175 in March 2016.
Last week, a Kaufman County grand jury returned two indictments for intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle for 31-year-old Rene Torres-Revilla in the deaths of 59-year-old Dulce Neri and 62-year-old Maria Hernandez.
On March 27, 2016, at approximately 7:28 p.m., the Seagoville Police Department and fire department responded to the 1100 block of westbound U.S. Highway 175 in Kaufman County where Torres-Revilla had struck the back of a trailer and truck parked on the shoulder of the highway, according to a crash report obtained by inForney.com.
Neri and Hernandez were standing in the area in between the truck and trailer at the time of the crash adjusting or securing the load on the trailer, according to the report.
Neri was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash and Hernandez was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in critical condition where she later died on March 30, 2016.
Torres-Revilla was also transported to Baylor where he was treated and released the next day.
