KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Dallas Police Department has terminated a narcotics officer after his arrest for aggravated sexual assault of a child in Kaufman County last week.
The officer, identified as 33-year-old Ryan Ramirez, allegedly sexually assaulted an 8-year-old female for whom he was a family friend, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to inForney.com on July 10, 2015.
The alleged assault occurred in mid-June 2015 in Kaufman County.
A warrant was issued for Ramirez’s arrest on July 15, 2016. He was booked into the Kaufman County Jail that morning and released approximately an hour later on a $20,000 bond.
“An Internal Affairs investigation concluded that on June 16, 2015, Senior Corporal Ryan Ramirez, #9343, engaged in adverse conduct when he made sexual contact with a child which ultimately led to his arrest on July 15, 2015, by Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office,” the Dallas Police Department announced earlier today.
“Senior Corporal Ramirez was charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child Felony 1,” the release stated. “Ramirez was terminated for his actions.”
Ramirez was hired by the Dallas Police Department in January 2008 and assigned to the narcotics division.
