KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A day after her indictment in June 2013, Kim Lene Williams filed for divorce from then-husband and disgraced Kaufman County Justice of the Peace Eric Williams.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A day after her indictment in June 2013, Kim Lene Williams filed for divorce from then-husband and disgraced Kaufman County Justice of the Peace Eric Williams.
A Kaufman County Judge earlier this week granted the divorce, finalizing the four-year proceedings.
The pair remains jailed after December 2014 convictions for the killings of Kaufman County Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse, District Attorney Mike McLelland, and his wife, Cynthia.
Eric Williams was sentenced to death in the killing of Cynthia McLelland and remains on Texas’ Death Row. In November 2017, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals upheld his conviction and death sentence.
Kim Williams pled guilty to murder in connection with the death of Mark Hasse. She was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
