KAUFMAN, Texas — A Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office drug investigation culminated in an executed search warrant, an arrest, and the seizure of firearms, drugs, and cash, according to the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office.
KAUFMAN, Texas — A Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office drug investigation culminated in an executed search warrant, an arrest, and the seizure of firearms, drugs, and cash, according to the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office.
On Wednesday, July 19, 2017, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and SWAT team executed a search warrant in the 1300 block of Highland Acres Drive northeast of Kaufman, Texas.
“Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have been conducting an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs at this location,” stated Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jolie Stewart.
Investigators located and seized two pounds of marijuana, narcotics, firearms, and $5,600.
44-year-old Roy Handley was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than one gram, possession of marijuana greater than four ounces and less than five pounds, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
“Handley’s wife and adult children were at the residence at the time of warrant service, however no other arrests were made,” stated Stewart.
