FORNEY, Texas — A Forney man was arrested in Sulphur Springs, Texas, yesterday after a joint sting by the Sulphur Springs Police Department and Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office for online solicitation of a minor.

39-year-old Chad Alan Williams of Forney, Texas, was arrested after allegedly driving to Sulphur Springs for a pre-arranged sexual encounter with a teenaged female, authorities told KSST Radio.

Williams was arrested and booked into the Hopkins County Jail yesterday, June 3, 2015, and charged with online solicitation of a minor/sexual conduct. He was released earlier today after posting a $75,000 bond, according to jail records.

Williams, who is an assistant coach in the Forney Youth Baseball Association (FYBA), has been suspended from coaching in the league pending the results of the investigation.

“FYBA is aware of the allegations but does not have specific information,” read a FYBA statement to inForney.com. “Out of an abundance of caution, the coach will not be coaching in the FYBA until the matter is resolved.”

The Sulphur Springs Police Department and Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office have both been contacted for additional information in the sting and were not available at the time of press.
