FORNEY, Texas — A Kaufman County grand jury has indicted a Forney man for conspiracy to commit capital murder in an alleged foiled murder plot last month.
The grand jury, on July 24, indicted 58-year-old David Gillette on one count of conspiracy to commit capital murder.
According to the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, Gillette and alleged co-conspirator, 38-year-old Nubia Sanchez, conspired to murder a man on the night of July 21, 2017, at a residence in the 15000 block of Valley View, just north of the Forney city limits in Kaufman County.
Police originally responded to the residence on a report of trespassers on private property however, when police arrived, they found the victim holding the alleged suspects at gunpoint after the two parties exchanged gunfire. Neither party sustained injuries.
Upon further investigation, Sanchez was arrested a week later, on June 28, and charged with criminal conspiracy to commit murder.
Both remained jailed on $500,000 bonds at the Kaufman County Jail.
