FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department is investigating an aggravated robbery of a woman who was selling a phone through the “Let Go” app early Wednesday morning.
Police say the woman had arranged to meet with the buyer at her residence in the 600 block of Tumbleweed Drive in Forney.
The woman told police the suspect vehicle, described as a silver, four-door Pontiac car, pulled up to the front of her residence when one of the suspects displayed a black handgun and grabbed the phone from her hands.
The driver was described as a short black female wearing a black jacket with writing on it and the passenger was described as a tall black male with long hair on the top of his head with shaved sides who was wearing a grey jacket.
“As a reminder, if citizens are using selling apps that require the seller and buyer to meet, we encourage these transactions to be made in a public place,” the department stated.
The Forney Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the incident.
