FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at Whataburger early Tuesday morning — a day after a similar robbery was committed at a Terrell Whataburger.
Tuesday’s robbery occurred around 4:30 a.m. at the Whataburger location in the 900 block of East U.S. Highway 80 in Forney. According to a witness speaking to inForney.com, a gun was held to one of the employees while the others were ordered to the ground.
The two suspects fled the restaurant in what was described as a four-door sedan, possibly a Nissan Altima. Police say they are investigating the possibility the vehicle was fresh stolen out of Terrell, Texas.
Police say both suspects had their faces covered at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
Early Monday morning, two armed suspects entered the Whataburger on FM 148 in Terrell, ordered customers and employees to the ground, demanded cash from the register and back office, and fled the scene in a vehicle.
