FORNEY, Texas β The Forney Police Department is investigating a jewelry theft which occurred at Golden Jewelers on Halloween night.
The incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. at the Golden Jewelers store on the north service road of U.S. Highway 80 just west of the Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 intersection.
Forney Police Department Captain Jason βRockyβ Ray says a suspect entered the jewelry store and was inquiring about rings when he fled the store with several rings in hand.
A second suspect was holding the door for the other man as they both ran from the store, according to the Forney Police Department in a Thursday update.
Both suspects are described as Hispanic males and the one who entered the store was wearing a light-colored sport coat and dark-colored skinny-style jeans. The second suspect was seen by witnesses getting into a silver or light blue Hyundai Elantra and the suspect with the sport coat was seen running through the parking lot.
Investigators are reviewing in-store video surveillance as well as video surveillance from surrounding businesses and interviewed several witnesses.
