Forney PD seizes nearly 50 grams of meth during traffic stop of Mesquite pair

FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Police Department seized nearly 50 grams of methamphetamine following a traffic stop of a Mesquite pair early Tuesday morning, September 2, 2014.

FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Police Department seized nearly 50 grams of methamphetamine following a traffic stop of a Mesquite pair early Tuesday morning, September 2, 2014.

At approximately 3:11 a.m., a Forney police officer pulled over a 2013 Chevrolet Impala occupied by two Mesquite, Texas, residents for a minor traffic violation on Brazos Street. Police seized 48.9 grams of methamphetamine, .01 grams of cocaine, and .03 grams of marijuana.

Forney police arrested 23-year-old Justin Dal Hargrove of Mesquite, Texas, and charged him with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, greater than of equal to four grams, less than 200 grams. Hargrove is also charged with possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one gram. He is being held at the Kaufman County Jail for the charges on bonds of $200,000 and $10,000, respectively.

Also arrested was 30-year-old Genna Furgason of Mesquite, Texas. According to a police report, Furgason was charged with drug/narcotics violations however, records indicate Furgason was released by the Forney Police Department before being transferred to the Kaufman County Jail. No charge information was immediately available.

Hargrove has previous charges for unlawful carrying of a weapon, theft, burglary of a building, criminal trespass, failure to identify, and prohibited weapons – all in the Dallas County area.
