Forney PD traffic stop yields arrest, large meth seizure

FORNEY, Texas — A Forney Police Department traffic stop on Monday night yielded an arrest and a large meth seizure, according to a police report obtained by inForney.com.

FORNEY, Texas — A Forney Police Department traffic stop on Monday night yielded an arrest and a large meth seizure, according to a police report obtained by inForney.com.

Just before 11:30 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop on a white 2005 Chevy Cobalt on the south service road near County Road 212. In the vehicle was 52-year-old Dale Wayne Williams of Henderson, Texas.

Williams was wanted on five Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office traffic warrants totaling $2,112.08 and was arrested. Police also seized 55.2 grams of methamphetamine from the vehicle.

Williams was booked into the Forney Jail and later transferred to the Kaufman County Jail where he was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams with a $250,000 bond. Williams is also being held on the Kaufman County traffic warrants for driving while license invalid, failure to appear, and speed over the limit.
