FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department is investigating an alleged armed robbery of the Knox Truck Stop on Tuesday morning.
The robbery occurred at approximately 5:01 a.m. when a black male, according to the 911 caller, entered the gas station and demanded cash from the cashier gunpoint. Two other witnesses were at the store at the time, according to a Forney Police Department incident report obtained by inForney.com.
The man fled westbound on U.S. Highway 80 in a blue, four-door vehicle. He was also described as being short and wearing a blue coat and a blue net cap.
Approximately $200 were stolen, according to the report. No injuries were reported.
The Knox Truck Stop is located at 600 West U.S. Highway 80 at the Farm-to-Market (FM) 460, also known as Clements Road, exit.
