FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department is investigating a shooting incident in downtown Forney on Saturday night.
Around 10:30 p.m., the Forney Police Department received several reports of gunshots being heard in the downtown area. A 911 caller directed police to the intersection of Austin Street and West Trinity Street where shell casings had been located.
Neighbors tell inForney.com they heard approximately five or six gunshots in the area.
No arrests have been made at this time and there was not any apparent structures, vehicles, or persons struck by the gunfire.
Police recovered several shell casings from the Austin Street and West Trinity Street intersection and spoke with witnesses.
