FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department is warning the public about a possible IRS phone scam.
The department says they have received multiple reports about the scam. People were called and asked to respond with a phone call and were also threatened with the issuance of warrants.
“We encourage anyone that receives any type of related calls to contact the described agency or entity directly and not respond to the provided phone number,” the Forney Police Department stated.
