At approximately 1 a.m., on Saturday, March 14, 2015, an accident was reported on U.S. Highway 80 near Farm-to-Market (FM) 460 in Forney, Texas. An out-of-state motorist became stranded due to damage sustained to their vehicle in the accident and a Forney police officer provided a courtesy transport to a hotel in Terrell because there was no availability at any hotels in Forney.
Upon their arrival in Terrell, at approximately 3 a.m., the Forney officer heard a loud crash and observed two subjects exit a Dodge Ram pickup truck which had just crashed into a utility pole and a parked vehicle, according to Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom.

Both individuals had allegedly been drinking, according to police. 21-year-old Cody Hillhouse of Athens, Texas, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and evading arrest. 21-year-old Stoney Ray Williams of Ben Wheeler, Texas, was arrested and charged with duty on striking structure, fixture, or highway landscape greater than or equal to $200 and evading arrest or detention.
