FORNEY, Texas – A Forney woman was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a Sunday, August 31, 2014, accident involving two cars which overturned on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 – sending one person to the hospital.
FORNEY, Texas – A Forney woman was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a Sunday, August 31, 2014, accident involving two cars which overturned on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 – sending one person to the hospital.
A 2013 Mazda CX9 driven by 28-year-old Kiva Lindsey Bostick and a 2008 Dodge Caliber RT4, registered to a Plano, Texas, man collided on FM 548 just north of U.S. Highway 80. The two vehicles came to a rest on their roofs after overturning in the northbound lanes of FM 548 which was temporarily closed following the accident.
The occupant of the Caliber was transported by an East Texas Medical Center ambulance to The Medical Center in Plano and Bostick was arrested at the scene.
Bostick was later transferred to the Kaufman County Jail where she is being held on Forney Police Department charges and $36,500 in bonds – $35,000 for the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and $1,500 for driving while intoxicated.
Both cases against Bostick were dismissed in September 2016.
