HEATH, Texas — A Heath home was burglarized by two individuals posing as Oncor employees, according to the Heath Department of Public Safety.

According to the department, two possibly Hispanic males in their 20s or 30s posed as Oncor employees and burglarized a residence on Smirl Drive in Heath.

“The suspects wore traffic vests and drove a dark colored passenger car,” stated the department. “The suspects walked into the resident's house without being invited and advised the resident that they were there to trim trees around power lines near the house.”

“One of the suspects distracted the resident while the other stole property from the house,” stated the department.

“Oncor has stated that employees are never allowed to enter a customer residence during the course of their work,” stated the department. “You can contact Oncor at (888) 313-6862 to find out if company representatives are in your area.”

If you see the two described suspects or are approached at your home, contact the Heath DPS at (972) 771-7724 or 911.

On Wednesday, the Forney Police Department issued an alert for a similar scam.
