The Terrell Police Department is investigating a burglary at the Texas Army National Guard Armory in Terrell, Texas, located at 1316 West Moore Avenue. Personnel at the armory reported the break-in to the Terrell Police department and reported a stolen military Humvee.
The Terrell Police Department is investigating a burglary at the Texas Army National Guard Armory in Terrell, Texas, located at 1316 West Moore Avenue. Personnel at the armory reported the break-in to the Terrell Police department and reported a stolen military Humvee.
Along with the stolen Humvee, several personal property items were reported missing. Officials with the Texas Army National Guard Armory reported that “no weapons were stored at the facility and none are reported missing.”
The Humvee was later recovered at a convenience store in Greenville, Texas, by local authorities and was returned to the armory. No damage was reported on the Humvee and all the internal components remained intact.
The Terrell Police Department stated that “the building had been entered through a window, possibly left unsecured. Once inside the building, thieves ransacked a portion of the building and then cut the lock securing the vehicles on the lot.”
No suspects have been arrested in the case which is still being investigated by the Terrell Police Department's Forensic Unit and Criminal Investigations Unit, U.S. Military investigators, and the Greenville Police Department.
