KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information in a fatal shooting on Interstate 20 that possibly began as a road rage incident, the department stated in a release.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information in a fatal shooting on Interstate 20 that possibly began as a road rage incident, the department stated in a release.
The incident occurred on February 19, 2016, around 3:15 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 20 near mile marker 536 — which is near the Tank Farm Road exit between Canton and Van, Texas. Police say the incident may have begun miles before the shooting took place.
A witness to the shooting described the suspect vehicle as a gray or light colored four-door sedan.
The shooting resulted in the death of a white male who was shot in the head, according to the sheriff’s department. The victim’s identity has not yet been released by the department.
