FORNEY, Texas — The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating an overnight vehicle fire which occurred north of Forney.
The fire was reported at 1:18 a.m. in the 9300 block of Neal Road near Mann Road — which is north of Forney just west of Farm-to-Market (FM) 548.
The Forney Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire which had completely destroyed the vehicle.
“The cause of the fire is still under investigation,” according to Kaufman County Assistant Fire Marshal Chad Woosley.
The vehicle was later reported stolen off of Hazelnut Trail in Forney’s Trails of Chestnut Meadow neighborhood.
The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene of the fire and the Forney Police Department responded to the location of the theft.
