FORNEY, Texas — The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a social media post believed to be made by a student at Warren Middle School earlier today.
The department says a person of interest has been identified and they do not believe there to be a threat to students or faculty.
“We are currently working with Forney ISD regarding a posting made on social media today, believed to be made by a student at Warren Middle School,” Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jolie Stewart stated. “Kaufman County Investigators are actively working on this investigation.”
“As a precautionary measure, there will be extra school resource officers assigned,” she said.
“The person of interest has been identified and we DO NOT believe there to be a threat to students or staff,” stated Stewart.
