HEARTLAND, Texas — The Kaufman County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar General store on Farm-to-Market (FM) 741 near Heartland on Wednesday night.
Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the robbery just before 10 p.m.
A be-on-the-lookout notification sent to area agencies described the suspect as a black male with a blue hoodie, a blue or teal bandana on his face, and armed with a small pistol.
Witnesses initially believed the suspect possibly fled northbound on FM 741 in a white Ford Expedition.
