Kaufman PD, Crime Stoppers seeking assistance in construction material theft

KAUFMAN, Texas — The Kaufman Police Department and the Kaufman County Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance solving a theft case from a Kaufman, Texas, area business earlier this month.

KAUFMAN, Texas — The Kaufman Police Department and the Kaufman County Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance solving a theft case from a Kaufman, Texas, area business earlier this month.

On December 7, 2014, the Kaufman Lumber Company, located in the 3000 block of U.S. Highway 175, had construction material stolen from their supply yard. The thieves entered the yard by damaging the business’s metal-pipe fence.

A witness told police they saw three vehicles leave the location and travel westbound on U.S. Highway 175 towards Dallas, Texas. The vehicles were described as a white, one-ton flatbed truck; a white, two-ton flatbed truck; and a black Suburban.

Construction equipment, including roofing shingles, were reported stolen from the location.
