KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A Dallas Police Department officer is under investigation by the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office for an alleged aggravated sexual assault of a child.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A Dallas Police Department officer is under investigation by the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office for an alleged aggravated sexual assault of a child.
In a statement Friday morning, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office confirms they have investigated the report an 8-year-old female was sexually assaulted by a family friend — identified in the statement as 33-year-old Ryan Ramirez.
The alleged assault occurred in mid-June 2015 in Kaufman County.
No charges have been filed nor has there been an arrest. The sheriff’s office investigation has been turned over to the Kaufman County District Attorney’s Office for referral to a grand jury.
According to CBS 11’s Andrea Lucia, Ramirez is a Dallas Police Department narcotics officer and has been placed on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation.
