TERRELL, Texas (Terrell Police Department) β A fugitive wanted out of Louisiana for Attempted Murder, Parole Violation, Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling and Felony Criminal Damage was captured in Terrell on the afternoon of June 18, 2015 around 2:15 p.m.
The arrest was the result of approximately 2-week investigation involving the Terrell Police, Louisiana State Police and other federal law enforcement agencies.
Walter Wallace Johnson, 29, of Hammond, Louisiana was located at a residence in the 900 block of Mineral Wells and was taken into custody without incident.
Members of the Terrell Narcotics Unit, Patrol Division, Kaufman County Sherriff Deputies, Kaufman County Precinct 2 Constables and TABC were acting on information gathered by the federal agency and a local tip that placed the subject at a residence.
A subject matching the general description was found inside the residence after the residents of the location denied any non family members were present there. Once officers located him, he refused to indentify himself, but was positively identified as the sought for subject and arrested.
